Hi all golf lovers!! Today I am going to talk about a hot topic amongst personal trainers, golfers and all sports enthusiasts: the CORE.
The same word means “centre” or “nucleus” and it not only comprises of the abdominal muscles as lots of people assume, it also includes the pelvic muscles, the buttocks and the deep tissue next to the spineñ we can therefore understand how a strong muscle tone in this area helps protect the spine from pain and injury and helps maintain a good posture.
We now that golf is potentially a strain on the spine and particularly the lumbar region, if we don´t use the right technique (we recommend you look at http://www.physiogolfmarbella.com/less-is-more/), so that you can familiarise yourself with the appropriate daily exercises to prevent possible future strains and injury.
